The Church Council works to visualize the entire task of the church. It does this by soliciting and monitoring the goals and objectives.  The Council coordinates the work of the various Boards and Committees and is responsible for maintaining good communications among all elements and members of the church.  In doing so, it guides and oversees the “Church Chatter” newsletter, other publications and electronic communications, the church office secretary, the scheduling of functions, and the church bulletin board.

Special Committees such as the Stewardship Committee and the Nominating Committee work under the auspices of the Church Council.  Board and Committee vacancies are filled by the Council during interim periods.

The Council consists of the officers of the church (Church Moderator, Assistant Moderator, Church Clerk, Historian), representatives from each of the Boards and Women’s Fellowship, and four representatives elected “at large” (from among the church members).  The chairman is often the church Moderator.  Meetings are usually held on the fourth Sunday of each month after the morning worship.
