Members of our congregation are engaged in community activities that help those in need. Whether it is through the Ledyard Food Pantry, having a “Baby Shower” to assist the Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, CROP Walk, or giving out Blessing Bags to the homeless who stand outside in all kinds of weather hoping for some loose change or even a hot cup of coffee, we are a congregation of helping hands and community nourishment.
Recently, John Clark, a Ledyard Congregational Church member, undertook the task of bringing men together who have recently been diagnosed with or undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. John leads the Prostate Cancer Support Group at L+M Hospital, Patient Education Room, every third Tuesday at 7 pm. Wives, partners, and girlfriends are encouraged to attend.
